Mrs Brown's Boys announces new arena tour
Mrs Brown’s Boys is going back on tour.
The stage show which spawned the BBC sitcom has announced 48 UK and Ireland arena shows for next year.
Good Mourning Mrs. Brown, previously toured in 2011 (read our review here) – although producers say: ‘This is the first time the production is heading out as a full UK arena tour.’
Brendan O’Carroll and his team – many of whom are related to him – had a hit tour of Australia and New Zealand last year.
Last week we reported how the character is poised to front a new BBC One entertainment show from her fictional home.
And last month, Mrs Brown's Boys was named the best British sitcom of the 21st century, beating The Office into second place – following the success of one-off live episode that attracted almost 9million viewers in July.
Two more Christmas specials are due to air on BBC One this Christmas.
The plot of the new show, which kicks off in Glasgow on March 30, has Agnes Brown planning Granddad’s funeral, even though he is not dead.
