Bill Bailey announces 2015 tour
Bill Bailey is to tour the UK next autumn.
He has lined up 50 theatre dates for his Limboland tour, kicking off at the Pavilions in Plymouth on October 15, and culminating at the Hammersmith Apollo on December 9.
The show, which launched in Australia and New Zealand earlier this month, is about 'the perception gap between how our lives really are and how we imagine them to be'.
In an interview last month, the comic said of Limboland: 'I suppose it's a bit about getting older. This transition from one stage in your life to another. It's also about responding to global chaos, with a lot of countries in flux and with the old orders changing. And there's also a personal element.
'It's just that sort of transitional phase for me as I recently turned 50. It's a big number for me! It's quite a personal show in many ways. I don't normally tend to involve my own life or my own family or things that have happened previously – but it's all come up very organically in this show.'
Anecdotes will include him recalling a disastrous family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights; while among the musical numbers are Bailey's version of the protest song, a country/ and western ballad played on a Bible and a downbeat take on Happy Birthday.
Tickets officially go on sale at 9am tomorrow… but they are available now. Click here for the full schedule and box office links. Tickets are £25 plus fees.
