The Change hits BritBox International

Bridget Christie's comedy to stream in the US and beyond

Bridget Christie’s comedy The Change is to be streamed overseas from August 1.

The acclaimed show will be dropping on BritBox International, which operates in the US, Canada, Australia, and the Nordic countries.

Christie said: ‘I can’t think of a better way for Linda to make her American debut than on BritBox International, home of all things great and British. Hollywood here we come, I’m packed already!’

In the show, which she also wrote, Christie plays Linda, who is convinced she’s got early onset dementia but is informed by her doctor it is, in fact, the menopause.

Feeling invigorated and empowered by this information, she decides to claw back some of the time she's spent doing 'invisible work' over the years and do something for herself. Dusting off her old Triumph motorbike that she hasn’t ridden in 30 years, she then sets off alone to The Forest of Dean where she meets an array of eccentric locals.

It was recently announced that the comedy would be returning for a second series, directed by Mackenzie Crook.

Any money you contribute will directly fund more reviews, interviews and features – the sort of in-depth coverage that is increasingly difficult to fund from ever-squeezed advertising income, but which we think the UK’s vibrant comedy scene deserves.
