Question of comedy
Stand-ups will have their knowledge of comedy tested at the Leicester Comedy Festival this weekend.
Chortle is organising a quiz to close the 10-day event, pitting two teams of comics against each other.
Taking part will be Stewart Lee, Wil Hodgson, Darrell Martin, Mick Ferry, Mark Charlton from the Leicester Mercury and a special guest who can’t be named. John Ryan will be quizmaster.
The hour-long event takes place at the Y Theatre from 5pm, and tickets are £3. Plus there’s the chance to put your own comedy knowledge to the test with an audience questionnaire – with the winner receiving a bagful of comedy goodies.
For tickets, click here, or buy them on the door and save yourself the 75p booking fee.
And if you’re at the festival on Sunday, the event closes with a gala in aid of the Orchid Cancer Appeal and Leicestershire AIDS Support Services.
Quincy, Rob Gee, Skatz, John Ryan, Bridget Christie and guests will all be taking part in the fundraiser at Phoenix Arts.
Doors open at 7.30pm, and tickets are £9. Click to book
