Over-85s are banned from my comedy shows!
Australian comedian Blake Pavey says he’s banning anyone over the age of 85 from attending his stand-up shows after a run-in with a heckler.
The stand-up made the joke suggestion on Instagram after confronting an ‘American Boomer’ in his audience who disrupted the night.
He started heckling support act Aleks Milinkovic, who began one routine with ‘I have no money’ – to which the heckler replied: ‘I wish you had talent too.’
Milinkovic responded: ‘Is property not enough for you that you have to come and ruin my night? Honestly, Covid should have taken out more’ – prompting enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Later, the punter hollered: ’Say something funny mate.’
Pavey also had to address the disruption saying: ‘How does the oldest cunt here have the lowest IQ of the room? That is so fucking rude, man.’
However, the unidentified audience member yelled out: ‘I’m still waiting to laugh.’
To which 22-year-old Pavey responded: ‘Ah, an American being an entitled cunt, what a shocker.’
Later the man walked out across the front of the stage saying: ‘I wish you were funny, mate,’ to which Pavey responded: ‘I wish you weren’t a cunt but we can’t all have what we want.’
He gave Pavey the finger before leaving.
Posting footage of the exchanges on Instagram, Pavey – who has terminal cystic fibrosis and discusses it in his act – joked: ‘I’ve since set an age cap of 85 at my shows!’
