Comic Stuart Laws turns accidental mind reader

Move over, Derren Brown. Stand-up Stuart Laws displayed an unexpected gift for mind-reading at a recent gig at Edinburgh’s Monkey Barrel comedy club.

The comic was discussing how his set was going when he told a punter in the front row: ‘You’ve got a slightly unsettling vibe, if I may say so. Not in a bad way!’

And as he kept talking, he made a comment about the man, called Scott, that proved uncannily accurate.

Commenting on the strong reaction he got, Laws told the audience: ‘It’s difficult when you peak halfway through your set.’

Posting on Twitter, Laws commented that he ‘accidentally blew every mind in the audience - and my own.’
