Comics take the main stage at Victorious Festival
Reflecting the 'ever-growing love for comedy'
Southsea’s Victorious Festival has announced that it will be putting comedy on its main stage this year.
The event, billed as the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival, turns from August 22 to 24 and features musical acts such as Kings Of Leon, Queens Of The Stone Age and Vampire Weekend.
And now comics including Joel Dommett, Andrew Maxwell, Chris McCausland, Jon Long and Ruby Wax , pictured, will play the same stage.
Festival director James Ralls said: ‘We’re beyond excited to bring such an incredible selection of world-renowned comedy talent to Victorious this summer.
‘Comedy has become a huge part of our festival's offering over the past few years as we continue to expand on its success. To be able to showcase such a strong line-up on the main stage is both a marker for our fans' ever-growing love for comedy and also testament to our focus on expanding the offering year-on-year.’

• Mark Steel and Rob Newman have been added to the line-up for the Wells Comedy Festival, which runs form May 23 to 25, as Sara Pascoe, Simon Amstell and Rhys James all added extra shows.
