Comedy At The Castle expands to Devon

Frank Skinner is to headline a one of the UK’s biggest outdoor comedy festivals this summer.

Comedy At The Castle is expanding to Powderham in Exeter – where it will run on July 18 and 19 – after running for two years at Warwick Castle.

The bill will also include Joel Dommett, Russell KaneJen Brister, Larry Dean, Gary Delaney, Kane Brown and host Freddy Quinne.

Meanwhile, the previously announced Warwick event, featuring Frankie Boyle, Paul Smith and Seann Walsh  will take place on May 23-25.

Powderham Castle and its grounds already host a number shows and festivals. Artists including McFly, Dizzee Rascal, Duran Duran, and Nile Rogers are set to appear at the venue over the coming months.

Derry Tydeman, heritage manager at Powderham, said: ‘We’ve long thought that comedy would be a fun addition to our calendar of events. After seeing what they were doing at Warwick we got in touch to encourage them to bring their unforgettable experiences to fans in the South West.

‘We’re really impressed with the line-up they’ve secured in their first year in the region. And we’re confident they’re going to deliver two amazing nights of comedy, food and drink.’

Tickets for both festivals, which are sponsored by Cobra beer, are available at www.comedyatthecastle.co.uk
