Fomer Late Late Show bandleader to play Latitude and Deer Shed

Former Late Late Show bandleader Reggie Watts is to headline the Latitude and Deer Shed festivals, it has been announced today

The improvising musical comedian joins Greg Davies and Bridget Christie as the third flagship comic for Latitude in Suffolk from July 24 to 27.

Mark Watson, Huge Davies, Josh Baulf, Matt Bragg and Thomas Green have also been added to the bill today.

Festival director, Melvin Benn said: ‘Latitude remains dedicated to offering a unique and dynamic festival experience where creativity is always at the forefront.

‘The comedy line-up continues this tradition, with Reggie Watts, Mark Watson, Huge Davies, and Josh Baulf bringing their sharp wit and distinctive humour to the stage, ensuring that laughter remains a key part of the Latitude experience.’ 

Musical acts including Kaiser Chiefs, Example, Alison Moyet and Scouting For Girls have also joined the line-up alongside the previously announced Sting, Snow Patrol, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx and Elbow.

As previously announced, the finalists in this year’s Chortle Student Comedy Award - which will open for entries soon – will also play the comedy arena. 

Others already announced included Amy Gledhill, Daniel Foxx, Harriet Kemsley, Kerry Godliman, Laura Smyth, Morgan Rees, Paul Sinha  Sikisa, Sophie Duker, and  Alana Jackson.

Meanwhile, Watts will also be the headliner for the Deer Shed Festival in North Yorkshire over the same weekend.

Other comedy announcements for the festival include Laura Lexx, Thanyia Moore, Lachlan Werner and Katie Pritchard who join the  previously announced John Shuttleworth, Scummy Mummies, Frankie Monroe, Barbara Nice and Eleanor Morton.

Musical acts include Kae Tempest & The Big Moon and Wunderhorse.
