His Mini hit 95mph on the M4

Russell Brand has been fined more than £3,000 after admitting speeding.

The 49-year-old was caught driving his Mini at 95mph on the M4 near Slough in June last year, the BBC reports. He also drove the car at 37mph in a 30mph zone in Shiplake, near his Oxfordshire home, on March 23.

He was fined £3,457 and handed eight points on his licence, bringing his total to 11 – one short of the threshold for a driving ban.

Last year, four women came forward to accuse the former comedian of sexual assaults between 2006 and 2013 – allegations he denies, saying all his sexual relationships were ‘absolutely always consensual’.
