Alice Fraser celebrates the romantic novel

New book and UK tour dates

Australian comic Alice Fraser has announced a short UK tour to promote her new book.

A Passion For Passion is described as ‘a love letter to genre romance fiction’ that ‘celebrates the joyful silliness of books that are written to follow the rules’.

The comic created the alter-ego D'Ancey LaGuarde, a prolific author often heard on The Bugle podcast, to celebrate  her love of the genre.

The new book, is a collection of excerpts, book cover designs, character sketches and synopses of D’Ancey’s most absurdly frivolous and outlandishly whimsical works’ with titles such as A Knight of Passion  and A Cowboy Called Home.

The title will be published by Unbound on February 6 – just in time for Valentine’s Day – with Fraser playing seven dates across the UK to promote it, starting at the Leicester Comedy Festival on the day after release.
