Barcelona Fringe announces its first line-up

Headlined bu Michelle Wolf

Michelle Wolf is to play the first Barcelona Fringe comedy festival next month.

The US stand-up is the biggest comedy name among the 200 shows taking place in English, Spanish and Catalan over the first 10 days of November

Other acts taking part include Kyla Cobbler, Ignacio Lopez, George Zacharopoulos, Vidura BR, Raul Kohli,

The festival is being spearheaded by the city’s Comedy Clubhouse and will run across 20 venues.

Comedy Clubhouse  co-owner  John Allis said: ‘We are excited to launch our first ever Fringe festival. Barcelona is world-famous for its art and culture but, until recently, was a bit of a backwater for comedy in Europe.

‘The fact we can now launch this festival is testament to the years of hard work and passion that’s been put in by all the comedians and show-runners in the city. Not only building a dedicated audience, but also improving the overall quality of shows here that now rivals any other city on the continent.’

The full programme can be found at BarcelonaFringeFestival.com.
