Ceremony to come from Wembley Arean

Joel Dommett is returning to host this year’s National Television Awards, it has been announced.

The comedian and Masked Singer presenter, will front the ceremony at Wembley Arena – now called the Ovo Arena under a sponsorship deal – on September 15.

He said: ‘I’m so happy to have been asked back. There’s already been some terrific TV this year, so I can’t wait to see which shows the viewers pick as their winners.

‘Plus, I’ve always wanted to shout the immortal words "Hello, Wembley!"’

Dommett first hosted the award last year, taking over from David Walliams who presented in 2020.

There have only been three other presenters: Eamonn Holmes in 1995, Trevor McDonald from 1996 to 2008 and Dermot O’Leary from 2010 to 2019. It has previously been held at Wembley Conference Centre, the Royal Albert Hall and The O2.

Tickets for this year’s event will go on sale to the public from Friday 8.
