Comedians join Whodunnit [Unrehearsed]
Comedians are to try to solve the case of a stolen diamond in a new stage play – without the benefit of a script.
Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] casts a guest celebrity in the role of inspector every night, with their lines fed to them via an earpiece.
Comedians set to take on the challenge at the Park Theatre in North London include Clive Anderson, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Adam Hills, Harry Hill, Lee Mack, David Mitchell, Meera Syal and Johnny Vegas.
It is the second time the theatre has run the show to raise funds to ensure its continued operation. A previous run in 2019 featured a moustachioed Gillian Anderson, Ronan Keating breaking into song and Gyles Brandreth ad-libbing in Hungarian
Artistic director Jez Bond said: ‘We had such a great response to Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] in 2019 that we have brought it back with a whole new murder mystery and another astonishing slate of guest performers.
‘As a theatre venue that receives no regular public subsidy fundraisers like this are vital to our survival, and the number of high-profile people who have offered to give their time and put themselves in the nerve racking position of acting a role they have never seen before is absolutely humbling. I honestly cannot wait’
Anderson and Brandreth will also be returning for this new run, with other confirmed names including Michelle Collins, Ross Kemp, Joanna Lumley, Stephen Mangan, Tanya Moodie and Clark Peters.
The show runs from February 9 to March 12, with tickets priced £44 to £85 available here. A limited number of £10 standing tickets are released at 10am on the day of each performance.
Audience members can also pay an extra £10 to enter a ballot to take a small cameo role alongside the guest performer.
