Netflix reschedules its mammoth comedy festival
Netflix has set new dates for its star-studded comedy festival, after Covid forced the cancellation of the debut event in spring 2020.
The event will now take place in Los Angeles from April 29 to May 8 next year.
However no comedians have yet been confirmed for the Netflix Is A Joke festival, produced with global concert giant Live Nation.
For the 2020 festival, 100 shows were announced across 20 venues, featuring such A-listers as Amy Schumer, Bill Burr, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Billy Crystal, Dave Chappelle, Sarah Silverman, Whoopi Goldberg – and even Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
Jack Whitehall, Russell Howard, London Hughes, Alan Carr, Mo Gilligan and Gina Yashere were due to represent the UK along with Graham Norton for Ireland and British-based Canadians Katherine Ryan and Mae Martin.
None of these are yet confirmed for 2022, but Netflix tweeted a ‘save the date’ image today:
