Comics stage fundraiser for Billy Anderson's family

Stand-up died in a car crash, leaving a four-year-old son

Irish comedians are rallying to support the family of Billy Anderson, a local comedian in Wexford who died in a car crash last month.

Stand-ups including Neil Delamere, Fred Cooke, Chris Kent, Jarlath Regan, and Damo Clark are to take part in a fundraising gig at Dublin’s Workman's club on June 21.

Anderson, 38, was born in Charleston, South Carolina, but had lived in County Wexford for several years, where he was also an addiction counsellor and father to a four-year-old son.

He also coached the Wexford Eagles American football team, and was travelling to rendezvous with a coach taking them to County Armargh when the accident happened.

Tickets for the benefit are available  here
