Mrs Maisel dominates the SAG awards

Trio of gongs for Amazon Prime show

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel swept the board at America's Screen Actors Guild awards last night with a hat trick of trophies of the night.

The show won all three comedy awards: best ensemble, best actress for Rachel Brosnahan and best actor for Tony Shalhoub.

He said: ‘We cannot thank you enough.’

And Brosnahan said: ‘I couldn’t be luckier to be a part of this amazing group of artists.’

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel’s dominance month that other comedy frontrunners, including Atlanta, Barry, Glow and The Kominsky Method went away empty-handed.

The Amazon Prime show, about a pioneering female stand-up of the 1950s, previously won two Golden Globes.
