Desiree Burch pulls out of the Fringe
Desiree Burch has had to pull out of this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
The news comes as the New York-born comedian was announced as one of the stars of the next series of iPlayer stand-up show Live At The BBC.
Burch’s Unf*ckable had scored four-star reviews pretty much across the board at last year’s Fringe.
She broke the news on Twitter, saying: ‘I am excited that so many of you were excited to see me in Edinburgh this summer. Unfortunately, I have had to pull out due to family emergency. Purchased tickets will be refunded ‘
Burch had been due to perform her new show Desiree Mother F*cking Burch at Monkey Barrel, who say the Fringe box office will be in touch with those who have already bought tickets.
Last week, Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Hannah Gadsby – whose acclaimed Nanette has just dropped on Netflix (review) – also pulled out of the Fringe.
