Manchester gets its first all-day open-air comedy festival

Manchester is to get what’s believed to be the city’s first all-day outdoor comedy festival.

Nish Kumar will be headling Festival 41, with Jonathan Pie and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Micky P Kerr among the line up.

Festival 41 takes place in Abbotsfield Park, Urmston, on June 30 and July 31, with the first day given over to comedy and the second to music, headlined by Scouting For Girls and DJ Trevor Nelson

Also on the comedy line-up are Jayde Adams, Markus Birdman, Keith Carter  as Nige,   Tony Wright,  Jay Hampson,Allyson June Smith, Isma Almas, Chris Washington and Danny McLoughlin.

 Matt Reed and Lou Conran will be hosting the day, and tickets cost £35.
