Iain Stirling to provide Bafta red-carpet commentary

A first for the voice of Love Island

Comic Iain Stirling is to provide red-carpet commentary at the Bafta awards on Sunday.

It is the first time the ceremony has featured such a voiceover, with organisers saying: ‘ We hope that it will add some extra light-hearted entertainment for viewers at home.’

Stirling landed the job following his acclaim as the narrator on ITV2 hit Love Island.

The awards, hosted by Sue Perkins, will be broadcast live on BBC One from the Royal Festival Hall in London from 8pm on on Sunday, preceded by a live red carpet programme from 5pm on Facebook and www.bafta.org.
