LONDON: In a breath of fresh air for the usually middle-class sketch comedy scene, Metroland comprises five working-class blokes from North East England. They were nominated for a Chortle Award this year for their show which proved a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, and now comes to Soho Theatre for three nights.
LONDON: Uncle Glen’s Menagerie – which is on at Soho Theatre tonight and tomorrow – is an improv format in which one actor has the script and the other knows nothing. Those taking part included Cariad Lloyd, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Taj Atwal and Paterson Joseph.

KILBARCHAN: Stuart Mitchell starts his debut tour, talking about the loss of his parents and how laughter is sometimes the only way to make it through difficult times. The title Tips Not Included is a nod to the fact he lost some of his fingertips in a childhood accident. LEEDS: Dylan Moran, star of Black Books and fine stand-up comedian, headlines the opening weekend of the Glee Club's new outpost, alongside provocative Fin Taylor and genial Brennan Reece, getting the venue started in style. Tomorrow, Taylor is replaced by TV's Michelle De Swarte and Tom Davis.
