New podcast from Kemah Bob

...as Everything Is News returns

Kemah Bob is launching a podcast called Icebergs, described as an ‘intimate and safe space for unfiltered, open-hearted conversations’ with guests.

Those lined up to appear on this ‘underwater world of self-discovery and self-acceptance’ include Nish Kumar talking about his PTSD diagnosis, Sophie Duker on dodging vulnerable emotions, and James Acaster discussing his return to music.

Bob said: ‘I’ve always wanted to offer people more than laughs, and I think Icebergs merges empathy and entertainment in a way that feels very ‘me’ and will hopefully be very useful to listeners.

‘Everyone I talk to, from age 18 to 80 is just trying to figure out how to live. I think the best way to learn is through the stories of other people, and I’m so grateful to my guests for being open and sharing their stories with me.

‘ I’ve already learned so much and am so excited to share this journey of self-exploration with the world.’

The first episode drops tomorrow

Meanwhile, satirical podcast Everything Is News will return for its second series next Wednesday, with Michael Clarke and Helen Price reprising their roles as troubled former Tory Cabinet minister Tom Dudley-Brown and sociopathic BBC grande dame Julia Markham.

Highlights of the new series will include Sam Campbell as an Australian politician turned head of a brutal private militia, and Ellie White as a former Tory Minister for Defence whose disdain for Tom’s incompetence remains undimmed.

Comedy writer and former BBC journalist Price wrote the series, which parodies political podcasts like The Rest is Politics, while Clarke is a member of the Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated sketch troupe Crybabies.
