
Chortle Student Comedy Award: Meet the winners of the London semis
Anoushay Okhai and Kwesi Sekyi make it through
Anoushay Okhai and Kwesi Sekyi are the latest additions to the Chortle Student Comedy Award final, after winning the two semis in London’s Museum Of Comedy yesterday.
Both are students at King’s College London – and both have birthdays this week.
Okhai, who is originally from Dundee and turns 25 tomorrow, is a third year war studies and history student. And Sekyi - who turns 26 on Friday – is a second-year marketing student.
Both now go forward to compete in the final at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as take part in a showcase at the Comedy Arena at the Latitude festival.

The next semi final is at Micklegate Social in York on Thursday, compered by Tony Jameson and featuring Harry Roberts, Adeline Coupe, Jamie Smyth, Queenie Cowen, Connie Duggan, James Perham, William Kirk, Reuben Hunter, Kathy Rivett and Ned Richards. Tickets are available here.
