Nando's launch comedy nights – and a new act contest

Nando’s is to host a string of comedy nights – and is on the lookout for new acts to appear on the bill.

The fast-food chain is running a competition with Time Out  where the prize is to perform a five-minute slot in one of their chicken outlets, with a £250 fee.

Entrants must post a minute-long clip on Instagram tagged with #ExtraHotComedyClub and @TimeOutLondon to help the brands spread their influence on social media.

Eight winners - chosen by a strict points system – will be asked to perform alongside headliners Munya Chawawa (pictured), Larry Dean, Chris Hall and Grace Campbell at Nando’s in London on March 31, Birmingham on April 7, Brighton on April 22 and Edinburgh on April 28 respectively.

Rules also say travel and overnight accommodation may be provided where necessary.  Full terms and conditions are here.
