Body found in search for BGT comedian
A body has been discovered in the hunt for a comedian who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.
Martyn Crofts, who appeared on the ITV talent competition in 2012, had been missing since Monday.
And police last night found a body a Whinny Gill reservoir near his home in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
While formal identification has not yet been completed, the family of the 55-year-old has been informed and is being supported by officers.
North Yorkshire Police said: ‘We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal and provided information to assist our enquiries. At this stage, there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.'
In his memorable routine on Britain’s Got Talent, the comic put a saucepan on his head and sang King Of The Road in a Dalek’s voice:
