Chris McCausland to host ITV show
Chris McCausland is to present a new ITV Saturday daytime show.
The new series will include celebrity guests, musical performances and entertainment news as well as interactive games that viewers can play along with at home.
And the comedian, who is blind, told Chortle: ‘I am delighted to announce that I will be taking over the ITV Saturday morning breakfast slot for 11 weeks over the summer.
'I am really excited about this, although I can't do autocue and I don't know where the cameras are. What can possibly go wrong?’
The Chris McCausland Show is being made by Cactus TV, which produces Saturday Kitchen Live for the BBC and has previously behind ITV breakfast shows featuring the likes of Big Zuu, Katie Piper and Laura Whitmore.
McCausland’s profile has been rising in recent years with appearances on the likes of Have I Got News For You, The Wheel, and Channel 4 reality series Scared Of The Dark as well as his own travelogue The Wonders Of The World I Can't See, in which fellow comics had to describe landmarks to the comic, who is blind.
He is currently on tour with his stand-up show Yonks! Chris McCausland tour dates.
