Brian Butterfield announces new tour dates

Peter Serafinowicz's character returns to the stage

Peter Serafinowicz has announced more tour dates in the guise of hapless businessman Brian Butterfield.

His Call Of Now show will be visiting 14 venues across the UK and Ireland in May and June, including London's Eventim Apollo.

Butterfield says: ‘I will continue to impart all the key elements of business, including information on income tax, something I was unaware of until this morning. Please, please, please buy tickets before 31st January.’

The character began in Serafinowicz’s self-titled BBC Two show in 2007 but has found a new lease of life online, with original clips as well as new commentary on politics, business, sport, and every episode of The Apprentice.

He made his stage debut in September with a tour (originally called the Placeholder Name Tour) which was seen by more than 10,000 people.  In the show, he promises to share his knowledge gleaned from his decades within the business world ‘working as everything from Lord Mayor’s croupier to circus horse dentist’.

Tickets for the new tour dates go on general sale at 10am on Wednesday.
