Richard Herring announces first tour in six years

Richard Herring is return to stand-up for the first time in six years.
His new show Can I Have My Ball Back? is based on his testicular cancer treatment, and follows his 2022 book of the same title, which has just been released in paperback.
The 34-date tour kicks off at the Alban Arena in St Albans in May, and takes in dates at London’s Leicester Square Theatre and Bloomsbury Theatre, before ending in Guildford in July.
In 2021, the comic discovered he had cancer after going to his GP to find out why his right testicle seemed to be growing bigger.
‘For a comedian who had done a whole show on male genitalia – Talking Cock – and written a book about toxic masculinity – The Problem With Men – this felt like some cruel trick of fate,’ says the show’s promotional material. ‘In his much-anticipated return to stand-up after six years, Richard talks bollocks and answers the question on everyone's lips: Is a severed gonad in a jar a fitting prize to bring in for Taskmaster?’
Herring is currently on tour with his RHLSTP chat-show podcast, which last month broke the news of a Spinal Tap sequel being in the pipeline.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday
