Tuesday October 17

RICK AND MORTY:The seventh season of the Adult Swim animation lands in the UK two days after its US premiere – and featuring the new - as yet undisclosed – voice actors playing the lead roles. Co-creator Justin Roiland was removed from the show after he was charged with domestic violence, although the case was subsequently dropped for lack of evidence. Episode one is entitled How Poopy Got His Poop Back, and here is the cold open. E4, 10pm

GREAT LIVES: Spike Milligan: A Radio 4 Extra repeat for last year's show in which comedy writer/producer and poet Henry Normal talks about the influence of Spike Milligan's 1973 poetry collection, Small Dreams of a Scorpion. BBC Radio 4 Extra, 9pm

Friday October 20

BREEDERS: The grimly realistic family comedy starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard returns for its fourth and final series, with the cast joined by Oscar Kennedy who takes on the role of their son Luke, now 18 years old, and Zoë Athena who plays their 16-year-old daughter Ava. It’s five years since we last saw the Worsley family and this series revolves around a bombshell Luke drops at Christmas dinner…Sky Comedy, 9pm

UPLOAD: The high-concept comedy, based around a digital afterlife that people are uploaded to before they die, returns to Amazon's Prime Video for a much-welcomed third series. We catch up with Nathan (Robbie Amell) who has managed to download himself back to the real world. From Parks and Rec creator Greg Daniels, it's perfect for fans of The Good Place.

HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU: Daliso Chaponda, the comic who's the son of a former Malawian foreign minister, makes his debut on the show, with Bill Bailey as the guest host. BBC One, 9pm
