Jason Manford announces new tour
Jason Manford has announced a new live show for, A Manford All Seasons.
The tour, initially 17 dates, will include some of the UK’s biggest entertainment venues – including the London Palladium, Leeds First Direct Arena and Glasgow Armandillo, and will culminating at Manchester’s new £365 million Co-Op Live. He is the first comic to be announced for the 23,500-capacity venue, set to open in April.
It follows Manford’s last stand-up show, Like Me, which he performed 280 times across the country.
The comic said: ‘People ask me what my favourite job is, acting, presenting, musicals etc. I love them all, but my favourite is still the privilege of doing stand-up comedy.
‘It’s just me, you, a microphone and a cracking venue. No cameras, no director, no viewing figures and no Ofcom!
‘I can’t wait to see you again and have a good laugh at this mad world, it feels like it's been ages.’
As well as his stand-up, Salford-born Manford has hosted many shows for the BBC and ITV including Unbeatable, Sunday Night at The Palladium, and The Royal Variety Performance. Earlier this year, he returned to judge the second series of ITV1's Saturday night show Starstruck.
He also has a three-hour show every Sunday on Absolute Radio and has starred in touring and West End musicals including Sweeney Todd, The Producers, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This summer, he starred as the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz at The London Palladium.
Tickets for his new tour go on sale at 10am on Friday.
