Five-star show Nevermore hits the road

Alasdair Beckett-King has announced a tour of his 2022 Edinburgh Fringe show Nevermore.

The comic, children’s author and successful YouTube creator will be  playing 23 dates from March to May next year.

He has appeared on Mock The Week and Comedy Central Live and will make his debut on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown later this year.

Nevermore is described as being a diatribe against The North Sea on paper – but in reality a ‘silly, faintly mystical’ show, and ‘an island in a sea of existential terror and entirely justified fear’.

In a five-star review from the Fringe, Chortle reviewer Julia Chamberlain called it ‘an absolute treasure trove of ideas and images’ in which the gags come thick and fast’.

The show also won praise from Stewart Lee, who called it ‘clockwork comedy perfection"’.
