Fascinating Aïda announce 40th anniversary tour

Including three nights at the London Palladium

Fascinating Aïda have announced a new tour celebrating 40 years

Dillie Keane founded the musical comedy-cabaret group in 1983 and was joined by key writing partner Adèle Anderson the following year, when they were nominated for the Perrier award at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Over the years they have earned three Olivier Award nominations for Best Entertainment, in 1995, 2000 and 2004 – and were this year nominated for a Chortle Award.

The members have changed frequently and the act has had several hiatuses – most notably breaking up in 1989 before reforming in 1994. And they were hit by the death in 2007 of their  pianist and musical director Russell Churney,

Their current third member, Liza Pulman, first joined in 2004 and their new musical director, composer and pianist Michael Roulston will be joining them on the new anniversary tour.

It comprises almost 60 dates, kicking off at the Camberley Theatre on September 5 and including three nights at the London Palladium in February 2024.

And here's how they used to look:
