ATHENA KUGBLENU: MAGNIFYING CLASS: The comic considers that she might just be middle-class now she’s got an aluminium hooded extractor fan in this stand-up special. Radio 4, 7.15pm

Monday April 25

PEACOCK: People Just Do Nothing’s Allan ‘Seapa’ Mustafa plays Andy Peacock, a personal trainer at Sportif Leisure in the midst of an identity crisis. His world is one of selfies, bravado and gym memberships, where vanity and success are often horribly entangled. When Andy loses out on a job promotion to a younger, better looking PT, he suddenly realises he’s a man out of time and sets out to prove that he can be taken seriously. The comedy also stars Lucien Laviscount, Thomas Gray, Susan Wokoma and Mandeep Dhillon and was written by People Just Do Nothing’s Steve Stamp with Ben Murray. BBC Three, 10pm.

Shearsmith and Pemberton as teachers

INSIDE NO 9: Mr King. Alan arrives at a small village primary school in rural Wales and throws himself into the new job, but finds himself overshadowed by his charismatic and much-loved predecessor, Mr King Annette Badland and Elin Owen join Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton in the latest instalment of the hit anthology series. BBC Two, 10pm

DAVID SPADE: NOTHING PERSONAL: The comedy veteran releases his debut Netflix stand-up special, sharing his disdain for crabs and his unique approach to turning down drugs, among other topics.

Thursday April 28

TEN PER CENT: The long-awaited British remake of the French show known as Call My Agent! In the UK lands on Amazon Prime Video. W1A creator John Morton has written new storylines for the talent agency staff to lend a ‘unique British sensibility’ to the comedy, while guest stars include Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Williams, David Oyelowo, Phoebe Dynevor, Kelly MacDonald and Dominic West.

ROB & ROMESH VS: In the fourth series Messrs Beckett and Ranganathan will take on a strongman competition (tonight’s episode), appear in Disney’s Lion King musical and open their own restaurant. Sky Max, 9pm

Friday April 29

HERE WE GO: The comedy about the Jessop family as filmed by youngest son, Sam, returns for a full series following a one-off shot during lockdown. It stars Alison Steadman, Katherine Parkinson, Jim Howick and Tom Basden, who wrote it. The first episode follows the family’s despearte efforts to use a pass to Jungle World adventure park before it expires. BBC One, 9.30pm
