Rob Beckett pilots new primetime ITV show

Comic set to front new entertainment format

Rob Beckett is piloting his own comedy entertainment show for ITV.

The as-yet-untitled programme appears to have shades of Taskmaster as each episode features six celebrities ‘who will attempt to complete a variety of hilarious challenges’.

Although he is a panel-show regular, this would be Beckett’s first prime-time hosting gig, if it were picked up.

He co-presented BBC One’s talent contest All Together Now with Geri Horner and briefly hosted ITV daytime quiz Head Hunters – as well as his Sky programmes with Romesh Ranganathan.

Producers of the new show promise that ‘with comedy rounds, great guests, and Rob at the helm, we're all set to be thoroughly entertained’.

The pilot is being recorded at MediaCity in Salford on January 18 and free tickets are available from Standing Room Only.
