Inside No 9 reveals series 7 guest stars
Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith will be reunited with their League Of Gentlemen co-star Mark Gatiss in series seven of Inside No 9.
The Sherlock and Dracula actor will join a list of guest stars including Diane Morgan, Jessica Hynes and Daisy Haggard, plus Daniel Mays from Line Of Duty and Code 404.
Filming has just started on the next six episodes of the acclaimed anthology, ready for broadcast next year.
Plots are being kept under wraps, but the first image from the set - above - shows that one of the storylines will be set in a school.
Other guests revealed by the BBC tonight are Jason Isaacs, best known as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, Sophie Okonedo, who was Oscar nominated for her role in Hotel Rwanda, Annette Badland, who played Babe Smith in EastEnders, Siobhan Redmond from Unforgotten and Ron Cook, whose credits include Hot Fuzz and The Salisbury Poisonings.
Shearsmith and Pemberton said in a statement: ‘We hope you'll join us and another incredible cast of actors for more surprises that will make your jaws drop and spines tingle. Heads might even roll, and if not heads, definitely eyes.’
The show is made by BBC Studios, whose head of comedy Josh Cole said: ‘It’s a joy to be back in the Inside No. 9 saddle. Reece and Steve are comic masters, and their new scripts are better than ever. Which really is saying something when the last bunch won Best Comedy at the Baftas!’
All previous episodes of Inside No. 9 are available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
