Mum writer turns to drama
The creator of the comedy series Mum and Him & Her has written his first drama for the BBC.
Stefan Golaszewski has written Marriage, a four part drama about ‘the fears, frustrations and salvation of marriage and the comfort that can only be found in togetherness’.
He said: ‘Marriage is a show about a couple - but there’s more to it than that obviously!
‘It’s great to be working with the BBC again. They’ve been amazing during the development of the idea and encouraged me to write what I want to write. It feels like a real privilege.’
Golaszewski is a former president of the Cambridge Footlights who broke into the comedy circuit with the sketch group Cowards alongside Tim Key, Tom Basden and Lloyd Woolf.
He won a Bafta for best comedy writer for Mum in 2017, three years after Him & Her won best sitcom. He also has Royal Television Society and Writers’ Guild Of Great Britain awards to his name
