EVIL GENIUS: Russell Kane's BBC podcast reassessing the historical reputations of both heroes or villains returned for a fifth series this week by examining the legacy of American founding father Alexander Hamilton with guests Ivo Graham, Sara Barron and Jenny Bede. Forthcoming episodes will look at Malcolm X, Alfred Hitchcock, Boudicca and Billie Holiday with the likes of Felicity Ward, Sophie Duker, Jayde Adams and Fern Brady. Listen here.
YOU’RE DEAD TO ME: Also returning to BBC Sounds is this comedy-history podcast, with the first 15 episodes focussing on the ancient Roman empress Agrippina the Younger with host Greg Jenner joined by historian Dr Emma Southon and comedian Cariad Lloyd. Future topics I'm the podcast - the third most listened-to on BBC Sounds last year - include ancient Babylonia, The Borgias, King James VI of Scotland and China’s Tang Dynasty.
