Comic forced to cancel tour shows

Ross Noble has been forced to reschedule a string of tour dates after picking up a kidney infection.

The 48-year-old comic is currently touring his new live show, Cranium of Curiosities, in Australia, but broke the news of his illness on social media.

He shared a photo of himself in hospital cannula in his hand as he explained that he's had to cancel upcoming performances on doctor’s orders.

Noble wrote: 'I couldn't be more gutted to have to make this post.

‘First up I am sorry for messing any of you around and second I am doing fine and recovering as best I can.

'In all my years of touring I can count on one hand the number of shows I have had to postpone due to illness. The show must go on and I am usually able to power through. Sadly this time I have been told by the doctor not to.'

'It is with deep regret I am having to reschedule my next few shows. I got what I thought was a regular sickness but to cut a long story short I am in hospital fighting off a bastard of a kidney infection. I will return recovered and ready to go asap.’

Tickets will be valid for rescheduled shows, or refunded. Venues will contact fans to make arrangements.

Noble  signed off with: 'Thank you for your understanding and I will see you in no time fighting fit and back at it.’

Fellow comic Dave Hughes joked: This feels like a compo claim.’

The show heads to the UK in October. Ross Noble tour dates.
