LONDON: Forgiveness is a thought-provoking show from compelling stand-up Chris McGlade about the murder of his father – and from an authentic voice of an older working-class bloke too rarely heard on the circuit. He comes to the Soho Theatre from now until Saturday.
Thursday February 27
LONDON: Powerful comedy agency Off The Kerb Showcase some of their acts at the Blackheath Halls, with the insightful veteran Mark Steel alongside young up-and-comers Huge Davies, Marlon Davis and Louise Young.
CHELMSFORD: A good old comedy-variety night at the Lion Inn tonight, with magician Mandy Muden, silly prop merchants Raymond & Mr Timpkins Revue, and old-school Catskills character Sol Bernstein.
Friday February 28
BRIGHTON: Raymond & Mr Timpkins are at the Komedia this weekend, as part of another strong bill that includes classy Jen Brister, provocative millennial Ed Night and the regular, quick-thinking MC Stephen Grant.
ST IVES: The middle-class angst of Hal Cruttenden will be entertaining the people of Cambridgeshire, alongside the social commentary of Sophie Duker and playful anecdote-peddlar Jack Barry.
