Middlesborough comedian who came up through the Working Men's Club circuit, and who performed as George the boxing coach in the West End run of Billy Elliot. He has also had a turbulent life off-stage, fighting a decade-long battle to protect a green site, and having to come to terms with the murder of his father, Terry, in 2011.
