Fleabag creator makes her debut this autumn

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is to make her debut hosting Saturday Night Live next season.

The NBC show returns for its 45th season on September 28, with Woody Harrelson at the helm.

Waller-Bridge – who is currently starring in the original one-woman version of Fleabag in the West End – will host the following week, when Taylor Swift is the musical guest.

Eddie Murphy will also host the show for the first time since 1984 when he fronts the December 21 edition.

Other guest hosts for the new season include Kristen Stewart and Stranger Things star David Harbour.

Footage from each episode will be released on YouTube overnight. Full Saturday Night Live episodes will be available to UK viewers from February when it becomes part of the line-up for the new Sky Comedy channel.
