Kumail Nanjiani joins Sam Bain's spy comedy

...based on real-life 'shenanigans'

Big Sick star Kumail Nanjiani has signed up to the spy comedy movie No Glory from Peep Show co-writer Sam Bain.

The film is based on a yet-to-be-published by real-life spy Scott Shephard, billed as ‘the rambunctious patriotism and world-wide shenanigans of a first generation American in the clandestine service of a grateful and mostly unwitting nation’

Nanjiani will  oversee Bain’s script with Vice and Anchorman director Adam McKay, Hollywood website Deadline reports, although no director has yet been attached to No Glory.

McKay said: ‘I can’t wait to dig into this incredible true story. This has a chance to be really special, as Kumail likes to say.’

Bain’s latest film Corporate Animals, starring Demi Moore and Ed Helms, recently had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.  His next project, The Stand-In, stars Drew Barrymore and Michael Zegen and is currently in production.
