Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin return for sixth series in 2020

Netflix has renewed  the  Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin comedy Grace and Frankie for a sixth season.

The news was announced just days before the season five launches this Friday.

Season six is expected to air in 2020, with pre-production currently under way.

The acclaimed show revolves around the friendship of two women brought together when their husbands (played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) revealed they were gay.

Friends star Lisa Kudrow joined the cast last season, and RuPaul is joining for the forthcoming episodes.
