Jerry Stiller in hospital after health scare
Comedy legend Jerry Stiller is said to be ‘doing well’ after a health scare that left him hospitalised.
The 91-year-old was rushed to hospital in New York over the mystery illness.
But friends of the comic have told reporters that he is OK, and is expected to return home within a couple of days.
'There are no signs of a stroke. He’s totally fine,' an unnamed source told the New York Daily News.
Stiller – the father of Ben – may be best known to modern audiences for playing George Costanza’s cranky father Frank in Seinfeld.
But he was also a star in the 1960s and 1970s as half of the comedy team Stiller and Meara with his wife, Anne Meara, who died at the age of 85 in 2015.
Stiller also plated Arthur Spooner on The King of Queens and has appeared with his son in films including Zoolander.
