Second series for Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier
The Dave channel has ordered a second series of Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier.
Ten new hour-long episodes have been commissioned for broadcast in 2019.
As before each episode will feature comedy guests analysing some of Richardson’s many worries. But in a new segment, he will also undergo some 'aversion therapy' at the end of each episode to try to cure him of his irrational fears.
Richardson said: ‘I’d like to thank everyone contributing to the continued destruction of the planet and all those who help us to wake up with an overwhelming sense of the futility of everything for the recommissioning of Ultimate Worrier for a second series.
‘Who'd have thought Series 1 would have failed to fix everything. I feel sure we'll get it this time if we all just believe.’
The show, made by Talkback, averaged 406,000 viewers over its eight episodes broadcast from May this year, becoming the channel's best new series launch since 2016.
Luke Hales, Dave channel director, said: 'I am personally looking forward to a second series based solely on Jon's discomfort.’
The new series will be recorded at Elstree Studios in February and March.
