Second series for Rob Beckett's All Together Now
Rob Beckett’s primetime singing show All Together Now will be returning for a second series.
Former Spice Girl Geri Horner will also be back for the six new hour-long specials, as head of the 100 music experts and performers who show their support for contestants they enjoy by joining in with their songs..
Beckett said: ‘I am absolutely delighted to be back hosting All Together Now. After making 100 new friends on the show the Christmas presents cost me an absolute fortune. So it’s great to be back in employment.
I can’t wait to get started. I’ve also requested a stair lift for the next series to help me get to the top row of judges.’
The first Saturday-night series achieved a consolidated average audience of 3.8 million viewers, making it one of the BBC’s most successful new entertainment launches of the past year.
Kate Phillips, the BBC’s controller of entertainment commissioning called it a ‘fresh and funny show’ and a ‘feelgood format packed with memorable personalities and performances’.
Hartlepool-based Michael Rice was crowned the winner of series one earlier this year taking home £50,000 prize money.
An Australian remake of the show is also in the pipeline.
