Parks and Rec take on America's gun lobby
Stars of Parks and Recreation have hit back after America's National Rifle Association for using an image from the sitcom to promote its pro-gun agenda.
The official NRA Twitter feed, posted a message thanking its spokeswoman Dana Loesch 'for being the voice of over 5 Million #NRA members'
And it was accompanied by a GIF featuring Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, the show's lead character, saying: 'Thank you.'

But show creator Schur, an outspoken gun lobby critic, tweeted back: Please take this down. I would prefer you not use a GIF from a show I worked on to promote your pro-slaughter agenda.'
He added that Poehler isn't on Twitter, but that 'she texted me a message: "Can you tweet the NRA for me and tell them I said 'fuck off.'"'
Nick Offerman, who plays Ron Swanson, added: 'Our good-hearted show and especially our Leslie Knope represent the opposite of your pro-slaughter agenda - take it down and also please eat shit.'
The NRA has not removed the tweet, posted after Loesch faced questions at a 'town hall' meeting in Parkland, Florida, where 17 people were gunned down at school last week.
Donald Trump today tweeted that the NRA were 'Great People and Great American Patriots'
