Russell Kane to front Facebook Live show
Russell Kane is hosting a new show on Facebook Live.
The Kaneing Live is based on his the weekly video rants the comic already posts to social media, and will be streamed from Facebook’s London office.
In the one-off, Kane will perform in front of a live studio audience and be joined by guests Katherine Ryan, Janet Street-Porter and James O’Brien.
The show – to go out at 9pm on Monday May 22 – will start with Kane performing a stand-up diatribe, then ‘having it out’ with the panel on the subjects mentioned – which will range from the big political stories to more trivial matters.
TV and radio presenter AJ Odudu will be on hand to deal with interactions from the studio audience and those watching on Facebook Live.
Kane said: ‘I’m buzzing like a bee on a Berocca to do this groundbreaking show, live from Facebook London HQ. Content-wise, I’m crossing my fingers that Diane Abbott attempts maths during this week. Or that Trump speaks.’
Facebook’s Glenn Miller said: ‘The Kaneing Live will give Russell's fans a whole new way to enjoy connecting with their favourite comedian and his work.’
Here’s his latest 'Kaneing' rant:
Earlier this year, Kane hosted a pub quiz on Facebook Live to launch series three of Comedy Central’s Drunk History.
