LONDON: Bring your permitted heckles as The Alternative Comedy Memorial Society returns to The Bill Murray in Islington – as usual with far more acts than are sensible. And none of them are sensible. The bill includes Danielle Ward, Alexis Dubus and Deborah Frances-White.

Wednesday April 12

HARROGATE: There's a fine bill of sure-fire, no-frills stand-up at the Manhattan Club tonight, with Carl Donnelly, Katie Mulgrew, Tom Stade and Phil Ellis all ready to entertain.

SEVENOAKS: Mock The Week pun king Gary Delaney, engaging and relevant Ellie Taylor, astute commentator Nathan Caton and affable MC Maff Brown bring the laughs to Outside the Box Comedy Club at the Stag Theatre.

Thursday April 13

LONDON: Extremes of energy at the Comedy Store this weekend, with the manic anxiety of Felicity Ward tempered by the smooth deadpan of John Moloney. Add social comment from Ian Stone and upbeat stories from Jason Cook and you have an irresistible bill.

Friday April 14

LONDON: The inventively silly, off-the-wall humour Stewart Francis is paired with the political polemic of Nish Kumar in a very appealing Bush Hall Presents… out west.

ST ANDREWS: Scott Agnew frank and funny I've Snapped My Banjo String, Let's Just Talk comes to the Byre Theatre. The explicit material might not be for the faint of heart, but it's very funny.
