So Sammy to launch on Disney Channel app

Miranda Hart is making her first move into children’s TV.

She has created ten two-minute episodes of So Sammy for the Disney Channel, which will launch on the broadcaster’s app this weekend.

The series of shorts revolves around a ‘tweenage’ vlogger and her colourful family.

Hart said: ‘I hope kids everywhere will be enchanted by lovely, funny Sammy who gets herself in to many silly scrapes and adventures, much to our delight’.

When Chortle first reported on the series in October, Hart described it as being like 'Miranda for the Snapchat generation'

It will be made by King Bert, the production company Hart founded in 2014 with David Walliams

Hart is also starting in Disney’s forthcoming live-action adaptation of The Nutcracker.
